BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) – Two mentally disabled women were strapped with explosives Friday and sent into busy Baghdad markets, where they were blown up by remote control, a top Iraqi government official said.
The bombs killed at least 98 people and wounded more than 200 at two popular pet markets on the holiest day of the week for Muslims, authorities said.
In both bombings, the attackers were mentally disabled women whose explosive belts were remotely detonated, Gen. Qasim Atta, spokesman for Baghdad’s security plan, told state television.
An aide to Atta said that people referred to the bomber at central Baghdad’s al-Ghazl market as the “crazy woman” and that the bomber at a second market had an unspecified birth disability.

You know, on these pages many years ago I predicted that the raw brutality of Al Qaeda would cause the people of Iraq to purge themselves of these beasts. In large part they have. but this just serves as a reminder of the type of human beings we are dealing with.

Ok i am lay man when it comes to weapons and arms and explosives and bla bla, in above, as per General's comment, is it possible to find out that the bomb was remotely detonated? yani, is there any way to find out after the belt and the body has been exploded into pieces?

^^ it is because the trigger that detonates the bomb is basically completing the circuit
that is done by suicide bombers
in this case it was remote detonation
which meant the charges were armed and circuit was complete, all that was needed was activation
exactly what i meant, once the circuit i completed, how will one know that, it was remotely detonated. is there any way to find out, or it is just an assumption.
