There is no need for us to change as our masjid did go with the local moon sighting, not global. The issue with our masjid happened when commitee started forcing our Imam that Chile should be considered local for us. Then another issue was that day was clear in Chile but only one witness was received. Imam was not ready to accept only one shahadat (as ruling is that on a clear day, there should be more than one shahadat), but again our mashallah committee forced him.
I (along with few other people) had a personal talk with Shiekh and we told him that we trust him and will go with his decsion. When he made the announcement of eid, we all (reluctantly) went with his decsion.
