It is often said that the relationship between twins is very different from the one between brothers and/or sisters, and that they seem to understand each other in a special way that no one else can. They are known to have something special in common which is hard to define. We always hear stories of how some twins can feel each other’s pain from a distance, and know what the other is thinking, etc, which is obviously a result of relationship created over a long period of time passed together from childhood on.
So how many of you folks here are twins, and do you feel a “special” bond of some sort which is different from that of siblings who are not twins?
In school in karachi there were these identical twins in my class. Alex and Francis (guys). They had quite a hard time surviving the cruel jokes of the class bullies.
Kher they were quite appropriately nicked The Prince and the Pauper. After we were done reading that book in class 7. Other names included Heckle n Jeckle, Timmy Jimmy, Aik ka Do and so on.

does this mean they can get pleasure out of the other twins pleasure?
I'm not a twin myself but I do have younger twin brothers. I don't know whether they can channel each others thoughts or anything as yet but they do have a very close bond with each other. They also started crawling, walking, teething etc at virtually the same time.
I know a family, they have 4 kids.
At the time of this story the oldest boy was about 5, second son was about 3 and 1/2 and twins (a boy and a girl) who were about 2.
The three and a half year old was playing with the twin girl and he pushed her. The twin boy came up to the three and a half year old and grumpily pushed him back in revenge for him pushing his twin.
Made us all laugh, but also demonstrated the bond between the twins.
One of my younger brothers was thought to be my fraternal twin while growing up, by others. I dont know why. I think its because we have some similar features and a very strong bond between us, Mash'Allah.
My uncle has fraternal twins, and I've had acquaintances who were twins but didnt know them that well to ask them questions on what it is like to be a twin.

Hey not all twins are close to each other or have a strong bond. Only identical twins do. I have a fraternal twin brother and have nothing in common with him- He's just the opposite of me and that's how fraternal twins are usually! :)
I had two friends in high school and they both were identical twins. I could never tell who is who. I mean, these two are just the copy of each other. Amazing!!
