Twin blasts in Peshawar claim 28 lives - DAWN.COM

PESHAWAR: Twin blasts near the Khisa Khawani market in Peshawar on Sunday killed 28 people and wounded more than 70 others, DawnNews reported.

The blast, which took place at 11am in the morning, set at least eight shops and surrounding vehicles aflame. There was terror amongst the people in the area, who were helping each other out.

According to police sources, 28 people have been killed as a result of the blast.

The wounded were initially being shifted to the hospital by the people in the area. They also include women and children.

According to a correspondent, five to six women who had been in the market with their children were completely burned as a result. He also added that no security had been present in the area at the time of the blast.

A heavy infiltration of security forces and rescue teams was dispatched to the area.

The people in the area are terror struck, which is causing hinderance in the security forces’ efforts to get them to evacuate the area.

It has not been ascertained how the blast took place or how strong it was.

This is the third attack in Peshawar in a week.

Innalilah wa inna alihay rajiyoun.

Re: Another bloody Sunday

I think taleban would get kpk government fired.

Re: Another bloody Sunday

Mujhadeen-e-millat ki yalghar!

Re: Another bloody Sunday

Another feather in the cap of Taleban :bummer:

Re: Another bloody Sunday

The least Pti can do is announce that they have called off the peace talks, the murder spree has only increased after talks of negotiations. Don't carry out operations against them, but make it clear to them there would not be talk until the violence end. The insistence of talks in the midst of terror strikes is only giving a negative signal to the people.

Re: Another bloody Sunday

I will add that is a good way to spread Islam by killing innocents in market places. Just as some defend these attacks by claiming that these are the reaction of drones, think what would happen if the victims of suicide attacks start responding as well. With each passing day it's becoming clear that taleban ideology is incompatible with civilisation.

Re: Twin blasts in Peshawar claim 28 lives

Inna lillahe wa'ina elaiheh rajiion.

These killers.. these disgusting losers are worth killing only and the govt wants peace talks with them. Messed up.

So sad and heartbreaking.

Re: Twin blasts in Peshawar claim 28 lives

do u think we voted for ANY CHANGE ??? the world know how PTI came into power so there is no need for explaining it again...

Re: Another bloody Sunday

They are not taliban , infact our govt is going to TALK WITH TALIBAN , not with the militants and terrorist so , terrorist are showing up thereselves , proving that we are only bull****ting regarding the PEACE TALKS

Re: Another bloody Sunday

Well I totally agree with you , if we look at the past , anp govt , we were at the peak of terrorism , but we had a reason for it that was the operation in malakand agency and the actions , govt was taking, after the swat operation , no single attack in swat or any where near it , but drones were still there, so saying that now, its the reaction of drones would be like "defending the govt" ..

2ndly , calling off the troops from malakand, saying that PEACE talks with militants are the only solution , In my opinion is the plan to bring the terrorism from the borders into the heart of pakistan, once the troops withdraw from malakand, and cease fire in fata, I am afraid the militants would show up in islamabad

Re: Another bloody Sunday

36 reported killed , nine deaths in one family who were there for wedding shopping ...

Re: Another bloody Sunday

Where is the PTI govt. Oh just remember they are preparing a plan to tackle this issue. Hopefully the plan will be completed in the next ten years.

Re: Twin blasts in Peshawar claim 28 lives

Where is the ganja govt?

Re: Twin blasts in Peshawar claim 28 lives

I didnt voted for him aswell, ask the people of panjab... btw I dont think he is responsible for SECURITY of provinces... this is the responsibility of the provincial govt who do not come out from the CM HOUSE ... infact the PAHARI BAKRA i.e Imran Khan , who is considered as the cm of kpk is responsible for this

Re: Another bloody Sunday

The militants are every where in cities and villages, in you and me. When these kind of attacks take place the militants don't defend them its us who use different excuses, some times it's reaction of drones and some times its foreign agencies behind them. In the midst of this the militants proudly claim responsibility. The militants would become weak the day we stop giving justifications to cover their terrorism.

Re: Another bloody Sunday

no dude , they are not planning for TACKLE it , they are planning it to expand it to whole Pakistan , by giving they SAFE PASSAGE of peace talks to the militants

Re: Another bloody Sunday

i think now we are reaching a point where we need to tackle the evil ideology behind this as compared to the terrorists.
