yeah I was super super super skeptical. I work at a bookstore and I was like WTFFFFFFF stupid vampires.

yeah, exactly! I’m thinking WTF too, all my friends had their Edward emoticons and whatnot and I’m rolling my eyes like a mad woman, then I read it and woooooh, Edward is my baby, then everything just started to get better from there, LOL
and THANK god, I saw the guy who was gonna be playing Edward (Robert Pattison) BEFORE I read the books, so I had someone to picture in my head, LOL
cuz my friends who read the books before were kinda dissapointed when they saw the actor
were any of you guys who read the books before the cast was announced?

no, but I didn't even realize that Robert was playing Edward since he looks COMPLETELY different in the posters and stuff. And I honestly never payed attention. I rung up girls that were like squealing and giggling when they came to buy Twilight stuff but I didnt even realize that Robert was Edward. But...when I realized what actors/actresses were playing who it made sense. I mean I think they did a REALLY good job with casting. Besides Rosalie. Nikki Reed is pretty, but she's not "I'm the hottest girl in the world" pretty. They did a REALLY good job with Alice. That's exactly how I imagined her. Bella...blah. I dunno. I don't like Kristen Stewart, but again that cuold be because I"m INCREDIBLY envious of her getting to be so close to my man. But yeah, I thought...Bella was supposed to be more mouse-y, more average looking.

dude my sister and i were watching tv and the twilight trailer popped up again
so i thought ok its the same as the other two times with no kissing and stuff
but this time they showed the girls butt and her kissing the guy at the same time
no where in the book does it say she was pantless while kissing him

The 2nd book (New Moon) is officially going to be a movie!

We're looking at a release date of late 2009 or early 2010
well obviously,
with a brand new teen girl in the house, miss weasel turned 13 on 3rd nov. we had to go see twilight. the movie other then certain parts ( where as my daughter is well trained and made me giggle with pride by closing her eyes al by herself :CareBear:) was fine for teen girls to watch. it was very predictable and kind of juvenile for a women of my age 
. there was enough eye candy for any age woman though 
( i am married with kids but not in a coma or dead 
) i did have an issue with edwards nose, i want my eye candy to be sweet and delicious all the way with out any imperfections. miss weasel thought i was just being too critical, girls. the kind of person i am, i went and bought the book and in my opinion miss weasel will not be reading the book any time soon due to its explicit nature, not as easy as closing eye to avoid the stuff. i am a fast reader so i finished 1st 2 books in 20hr. the second book was more interesting for me. i will give myself a few days before i get the next 2 books. all in all a good teen romance movie and the fact that the genre is fantacy, my fav. makes it more enjoyable. on a personal note, they have started making the youngers guys quite delicious, yum

I hadn't read them. Heard they were terrible but addictive. Some said it would replace my Harry Potter longing. A few friends wanting me to come along to see the movie with them, so the night before I picked up the first book, just to get a taste. I finished it in one night :blush.
The writing is terrible but there is such an appeal in these clicheed books, I just don't get it. Anyway, I'm almost done with the series now. In the middle of the last book!!

Ditto. I read the first book within 48 hours. I skipped so many paragraphs though as they nearly killed me. All that love stuff...puke!
But I had to finish it. I was slightly disappointed. I wanted Edward to eat her and be done with it. I mean, shes such a sop, fainting at the sight of blood and then having a vampire as a boyfriend...eesh!
These books have nothing and I mean NOWT on Harry Potter.

i thought the movie sucked. kirsten stewart cannot act and catherine should've casted me as bella (yeah, that's just an excuse for me to be with robert).
i thought robert was...HAWT. I mean...I prefer him in real life to Edward, but yeah. DROOL.
