Re: Twenty provinces
Division of Sindh ... I think it would be foolish for MQM to demand that, because if free and fair election is held, they have good chance to form government in Sindh easily. Then they can create different administrative units in Sindh, not to divide Sindh but to bring more progress and provide facilities to all Sindhis (whatever language they speak) at their door-step ... Well:
Even though PPP is getting negligible seats (and votes) from Karachi, PPP is getting more seats (and votes) in Sindh. On the other hand, MQM is getting few seats outside Karachi and Hyderabad, but getting most seats from Karachi and number of seats from Hyderabad.
To maintain the situation, PPP is doing propaganda that only PPP has interest of interior Sindh, as if voters and office bearers of MQM are not from Sindh and do not care for Sindh … when all know that future of PPP and MQM voters in Sindh are linked to the prosperity of Sindh … and both like to see Sindh progresses, get developed, and people (resident of Sindh) gets all facilities that government could provide.
Unfortunately, PPP parliamentarians who are mostly from feudal landlord class, rich industrialists, or corrupt bureaucrats, want to keep Sindh backward, so that they can use votes of interior Sindh to loot and plunder Sindh. Since 1947, same people ruled interior Sindh who are backbone of PPP … and as PPP ruled Sindh most years since 1971, still did nothing for interior Sindh other than cosmetic work.
I am pretty sure that if MQM would make some inroads in interior Sindh then with help of seats from Karachi plus Hyderabad they could become majority party in Sindh parliament, and then it would be PPP who would start demanding division of Sindh. At that time, I am sure MQM would start protesting on division of Sindh.
As for me, I would only like to tell MQM that instead of asking division of Sindh (if they are), they should work a bit on educating people of interior Sindh, make them understand their right, give them awareness, and ask for votes for change, so that real change comes in Sindh, and then when they do get some inroad in interior Sindh, work to bring progress and development in Sindh, so that every Sindh (from Karachi or outside) get a better life without exploitation.
[What I know, MQM already has huge vote bank in interior Sindh, but heavy rigging, feudal influences, intimidation and heavy handedness of PPP Vaderas, police, and bureaucracy … is keeping the party making deep inroad. So MQM only needs a federal sponsored system where free and fair election is possible all across Sindh … and if that would happen, then I believe, most of their inroads into Sindh would be easy]
