It will develop and spread faster, IMO ... younger generations are more interested in knowing 'strike rate' of batsmen then 'total score/individual batsman`s score' in Tests etc, how many sixes, fours etc.

Eventhough I don't like 20/20 that much - its a tookka game but i see that it'll be popular in future because of time limit ofcourse and because its faster.
All the new cricket playing nations would enjoy it more than us.

I am in the same boat as you. As has been mentioned, the popularity of this contest will rise in ranks overtime amongst the better part of the world. I myself prefer to sit around for hours and enjoy a test match worthy of itself, especially in conditions abroad where the picture quality is vastly clear, ground conditions are alot better and the atmosphere is pretty lively. The real strength of a team is measured by its performance in Test matches.
Pretty soon, there will be Twenty/20 World Cup and the current limited-over form of cricket will start to diminish more.

^ yeah I jitter at the thought of a 20 WC...whata waste...tukka lag gaya all the way......and bowlers hell mostly...becuase it will be pinch hitters paradise and stroke playing will die...
I guess it is the result of the huge commercialization of the game that has gone on this decade..

Twenty20 is not cricket. Some people might still insist, don't listen to them. Double wicket or HongKong Sixes was more fun than this format.

I think twenty-20 championship is something which could be tried in the Olympics where time constraints usu. mean that the whole event has to finish inside two weeks. but I am not in favour of a twenty-20 World Championship. Test cricket will always be the real deal.
