I'm quoting this for future use, if this forum still exists than.
You don't understand the global jihadi phenomenon, especially how it is affecting Pakistan. This is not a joke for you to use to score points against Musharraf.
Neither is this an ethnic fight like Sri Lanka. It is a war of ideals, bigger than any army or country. Don't underestimate it just because you are removed from the reality of these people think and how strong their ideas can be for the masses.
The same squad of the same Army, which is now battling for It's existance are responsible for this mess. Taliban is for sure a threat. No doubt!
But first let's make PA get rid off all Taliban sympathizers, then we can talk about real business on and off the borders.
Re: Twelve soldiers dead in Kohat
Emergency needs to be imposed for a couple of years before things can start returning to normalcy. Sadly due to intl and domestic pressure it had to be lifted early, but during that time Swat was retaken and 300+ terrorists killed, scores arrested. So, all was not lost, but Pakistanis, especially the usual detractors and opposition needs to realize that this is a WAR for Pakistan's very survival.
bhai mere, you keep forgetting that a large number of top army brigadiers/generals have vested interests, long-term friendships with "Talibans", without cleaning up of army we cannot cleanup. Without first treating the doctor for his mental illness, we should not expect him to treat other mental patients with success.
