What do you think which one is a necessity TV or PC? and which one is a luxury?
I think I can live without TV but not without PC.

Computer is a neccesity. Without you cannot read online articles, catch up with friends via chat and email. Fill in forms online. Research for studies. Find websites that improves your mental and social intelligence (like GS!)

Its your self-discipline that counts in how you use the certain product. I for one find TV very relaxing when I am watching a nice documentary with my daughter.

Err...TLK...porn never crossed my mind so its not an issue for me!
And yes TV is great for relaxation. I use it as family time to watch things with my kids...but apart from a few channels like the Travel channel or National Geographic, not a lot of mental stimulation is provided.

one more disadvantage of PC is that it segregates you from the family, no matter how you use it. TV on the other hand can bring the family together.

It boils down to personal choice and USE. BOTH are nothing but a tool to make our lives easier, and BOTH can be abused. SURFING porn on internet or watching it ON DEMAND, only the medium of delivery changes, the culprit is the person behind keyboard or REMOTE.
now coming back to ORGINAL post. 
I’d say PC becuase of it’s wider usability and application. You can watch live Tele on it, but you can’t finish your work project or school assignment on Tele.
