TV channel boom

I’m worried about this. Very worried. It seems that anyone who is really senior in the industry, been around for a while, and thinks they can run a tv channel, which is not the same as acting in front of a camera … rather its about running a business really…is starting a tv show.

I’m seeing it on articles all over the place, and someone mentioned it in the HUM tv thread.

So HUM tv is one of these. There are many others. What others are these?

And do you think this is going to help the entertainment industry bring up its quality or not? I fail to understand how this is going to work. We’re already seeing the same faces OVER and OVER again.

It would compromise the quality one can argue but i for one am happy to see heaps of channels coming out as long as they send some over the satellite and we can see them here in Australia.

Also one can argue the point that more channels will put Pakistani entertainment industry in a better position to compete with Indian entertaining industry ( i hope and pray that this happens)
