Faisal, I totally agree with you. Here is a letter from a cricket lover in USA...
Hi all cricket enthusiasts of USA,
Cricket means a lot to us both by playing and watching. We must make
an effort to play our role in these both areas.
I was talking with the Dish Network reps and though its not yet on their
web site, but they have decided to charge 250$ for the entire package of
3 tests and 6 ODIs. ODIs alone cost 199$. About an year ago when India toured
Pakistan the rate was 140$. I did not see a change in the market that justifies
this price hike.
Someone in Dish figured out that this is a series that Indians and Pakistanies
will watch no matter what the price is, well lets tell them NO THANX we will not
submit to such tactics.
It is rediculus marketing move and we as consumers of this must act and say no
to it. I suggest we all call Dish at 1-800-333-3474 and explain them that how
unjust this cost is and do not subscribe to the service. If we do not act then
we risk arbitary price hikes in future too.
Let us all spread this word and do not subscribe and explain it to Dish that
make it a reasonable price and we will buy it. Remember it is us who buy and
provide this buisness to Dish if we do not get it they will have to change
their
tactics.
no subscription required.
just send in 25 usd to [email="[email protected]"][email protected] thru paypal, and baba will send you the link an hr before the match.
^ No. They should know how to price the damn thing. Right now they just keep increasing pricing willy nilly thinking the suckers will keep paying whatever they ask for.

so what are they saying, that the ODIs will be on ATN as well as PPV??
DeSiMuNdA thats what i said earlier, but Talib bhai called them and according to them its for full series. So yeps its pretty confusing. Call ATN again and confirm :D
hmmm... interesting... but yep when I called yesterday, I clearly asked if it was both the Test series and the ODIs and she said yes its for both of them - and now if they're changing their stance, its pretty pathetic.
ASN bhai if I want to buy the seies now then is there any way I can but it from Mufta TV??? I don't wanna pay so much money to dish network:( If anyone knows any info on where I can but the series for a resanable prize on net plz let me know. Thanks
Well guys, I don't think it's such a bad price. I mean if you consider that they charge about $40 for a 3-4 hour sporting event, $250 for 3 test and 6 one days is not TOO bad. That's almost 2 months of Cricket we're getting. Plus, for most of us desis here in the U.S, we don't have many other means of entertainment :)
