If that is the only criteria then why movies of very seasoned actors, directors, story writers, script writers , financiers etc fail ?
I can understand that even seasoned actors will jump to sign any movie that comes his/ her way to make money.
But the financiers will not bet their money on a movie which is bound to flop.
Once a very seasoned and successful Hollywood director was asked , what is your secret to so many successful movies.
He said," If I had a formula for success for movies I could make tons of money just by selling that formula. "
