Re: Tutoring Services for kids
It depends on a lot of factors.
- The quality of the school and teaching staff - some schools’ academic programs are behind what they should be - some teachers don’t teach and they just present a lesson and expect the parents to explain it to the child. Extra learning is almost a necessity to esnure your child can keep up.
- Is your child an independent learner and doesn’t need any extra help?
- Do you as a parent have the time and the patience to provide your child with the extra help they need (one of my sisters doesn’t have the patience, so she did hire a tutor).
If your child is an independent learner and the school’s curriculum is satisfactory in your opinion, then tutoring for the sake of tutoring isn’t necessary. Tutoring is an extra to help a child keep up. Getting ahead is great, but not necessary.
