do you know that linux is the best operating system ever made in the history of computers
starX windows provided by redhat is far better than any of the microsoft products it’s easier to install as compared to windows NT and the only draw back is that it does not support visuall basic liberaries
and you can n’t play some of the games on it
other wise it is more than you can think of
it’s for free and comes with source code
that what i really call free ware you can modify or update it
do you know that linux has stripped
billions of MS dollars and is saving peoples money
if you have any question or suggestion

Pak.Org uses Linux on all its 6 servers. I use Linux on my home PC and Office PC. I do have a spare running NT for some of the stuff. But I must agree with shezi, Linux is teh way to go! Put it on a Xeon or Alpha chip and watch the baby rock!!!
Hey Shezi, know of any good freeware OS booters? I use lilo, but one of my friends need a better looking. Hes got 98 and linux. NT loader will do but he doesnt want to go to NT. any ideas?
Yeah. I use RedHat Linux 5.2 on a different partition.
Its really cool and stable. Im going to set up a mini network in conjunction with my friends.

Linux, I was thinking about it. I got me a P100 lying around in the house so I'm gonna give it a shot. Any ideas or Websites I could download it from.

One of the most popular one is Redhat version. There are websites from where you can download, but depending on your bandwidth it might take long... Or you can call one of the companies to get it for around $10.

Pay couple of dollars to get it from following site:
zman. the best thing to do is go auctions.yahoo.com and in computers/hardware/worstation section or software section, u will find tons of Linux RedHat 6.0s for less than 6$ ! thas dirt cheap bro. p100 will work just fine. make sure u have at least 64MB ram.
or, if u have fast internet connection, simply create the net boot floppy. reboot ur computer wid it and download the whole gad dam Os. :)) i even downloaed it a couple of times on my home ISDN!! (i had to leave it runing all night) heheh
go to www.redhat.com and check out the mirror sites. there are plenty.
Cool. I have 40meg on my P100, so I will have to add some simms. I could also create a 2 gig partition on me P500 and install it. I just might do that.

hmmm… I don’t know of any freeware OS loaders myself, Azkar.
On both my machines at home, I’m running NT loader… seems to wrk fine for me.
