Turkish Anti-US film breaks all box office records

The film is called Kurtlar vadisi - Irak or **Valley of the Wolves: Iraq ** and it’s grossed over $5,000,000 in its opening weekend in Turkey, a record of sorts. The story is basically a vendetta of some Turkish secret agent, going to Iraq to reclaim the ‘honor’ of some dead colleague. The film’s now got international curiosty all aroused , with the US military journal Stars and Stripes officially reacting to the going ons portraid in the film. An article in the journal quoted Gen. Peter Pace, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, as saying, “It is a fictitious movie. … It clearly does not have any basis in fact, and there is no reason for us to comment on fiction.” That only would only stoke up more attention for the film.

Btw, the turks are the last people who would have any sympathies with the Arabs in Iraq. So that makes the content AND the reaction to the the film (of the turkish masses) all the more shocking!!
