Ok, so then Antalya would be a good option. Plan for 4 days in Istanbul at least, there is so much to do and see, this will just scratch the surface. From what I’ve learned, domestic travel in Turkey is pretty cheap…Atlas Air, Pegasus Air, Onur Air etc…the flight time from Istanbul to Antalya is about an hour and 15 min I believe.
In Antalya, you can do just the beach/coast thing, or if you are interested in historical ruins, you can venture out to the ancient cities of Termessos and Perge. There are cruises along the Mediterranean coast line as well.
