Political power is directly proportional to economic power. When economies are bad then political powers definitely diminishes. America did not attack Iran only because it can not afford this war.
This is not to say that their economies are bad enough to completely lose their political might AT THIS POINT. But if it continues and other players like China continue to grow then one-man-Western show will come to an end.

I agree with ur rationale but Chinese economy too is directly hanging of the Western model of economics…China shows more concern than any other country whenever a bad news about the US economy breaks since US is the biggest consumer of the China made products…is there any example of China practically challenging US policies or coming in the way of their policies anywhere int he world or say in the Middle East where most of the energy interests lye?
