It's a disturbing trend when any above the radar person can cause a city to shut down causing inconvenience to the citizens, and businesses. It is made worse when the Government overreacts and contributes to making the situation worse. There's a need for heavy dose of sensibility training for anyone who wants to appear on TV.

The twin cities of RWP/ISB are shut down. Cellular services will shut down. Entry and Exit to ISB Airport (which is actually in Rawalpindi) are shut down and guarded by Punjab Police. Entry and Exit points to cities of RWP and ISB are closed and guarded by Poonjab Police/ISB Traffic Police and Rangers. The security of Islamabad city is in the hands of Army's 111 Brigade. The army has made it clear that they will not provide any policing.
1000s of TuQ supporters are stopped well away from the airport by the punjab police where they are doing dharnas.
TuQ has landed in Dubai and in a few hours he will reach ISB
If only people at the Karachi airport had this level of security. In fact, if only Nawaz could provide this level of security to all the cities in Pakistan and small townships, maybe we wouldn't all be packing up our bags and jumping ship, and probably, there would be no threat of an overthrow either.

As much as I think TuQ might be a phony, I'm glad someone is scaring the crap out of NS and goons. First an overthrow by musharraf and now this. sighz Doesn't look like NS can stay long enough in office before someone tosses him out of it.

The government is so stupid.
They should have let him come without any fuss and do all the march he wants. Just tell him that they have intelligence that Taliban want his head bad but government cannot provide any security to him because the law enforcement agencies are busy with terrorism threats around the country.

Have to admire PAT workers. They have overcome all container obstacles, police baton charges, shelling, rubber bullets and have now reached the airport to receive their leader.
