You are def. book smart, but you may not be as much of a street smart as others may be. But you seemed to be very chalaak to me at the meet I was saying you are seedhi in this thread to tick you off even more but I guess it didn’t work.

To me, a seedhi/saadha person is neither ignorant nor naive. Personally I think a seedha person is a person who knows about issues/stuff/what you have it / but is not overly concerned about them. And doesnt ponder upon them too much. Or even if he/she does - its from a very sort of surface way, not deeply into it.
Nothing wrong with being a seedhi si larki Irem. Everyone is different.

Gosh, the story of my life… i feel for ya irem… every relo of mine in pak claims ive got to be the seedhiest thing they’ve met.. (they associate it with being dumb)

Irem i understand where you coming from…alll my life ive had your so innocent, your so simple and my sisters friends the first thing they say aww your sister is so simple and bholi bhali it just drives me insane 
i mean im 22 and when i tell people they r like nooo i thought you were 18/19…and im like 
people still say to me aww your so cute…one of my friends actually tried to pull my cheeks and i was like get off!!!
and where i work when i first started she was like o so what school or college you at i was so insulted i was 21 at that time in my second year of university…
when my hubby’s family came round with the proposal it was quite embarrassing coz the woman who bought the proposal was going on about me to my hubby o dont you think shes so simple and bholi bhali and sweet and thats just what i love about her…shes just so innocent and simple and my hubby was just sat there laughing sometimes i do wish people would stop saying that to me but people tell me its a good thing so alhamdolillah…

I think its better to be an asshole/ fraudia in this world sometimes. So people would never dare use you or take advantage of you.

quite frankly, i think ur a nice intelligent girl... but u have this idealistic view about everything, and the world aint that pretty in real,,, a lot of ur views are based on ur own fantasy world and imagination/experiences where everythings nice n perfect.... and thats quite naive if u ask me....
plus.... some of ur views about guys and ur ideal future hubby,,, that really is something :D goodluck with that.

It's good to be seedhi, but not too seedhi that people take advantage of you. You gotta be a bit selfish as well in order to survive in today's world.

Seedhi also refers to some one who is trusting- which from where my values come from is better than being overly skeptical, doubting every effort by others and more...
Also- your darzi may have been pleasantly surprised by you cause more than too many women argue and haggle with their darzis to death bringing in all kinds of twists and turns and stories just to get a discount or their work done faster. It may also be a gentle hint that dont share too much personal experience in discussions- but that could be a far shot on my side. Just a hunch.
