Again if these talks result in real calm and improved law and order in the country, government should go for it. Sometimes accepting defeat like "Suleh Hadebia" results in win-win position.

Talks should be with a condition that all TTP elements will surrender their arms to government and promise no more activities, if any activity takes place all TTP will have to surrender themselves to police/army, if they don't agree then no talks IMO.

I can picture Ehsan ullah Ehsan calling Nawaz Sharif, and the great lion trembling on the other side of the phone.
PESHAWAR - Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) spokesman Ehsanullah Ehsan would hold peace talks with Nawaz Sharif, Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Syed Munawar Hassan, a private TV channel reported.
According to reports, TTP commanders have authorized Ehsan to hold talks in a high-level meeting held in South Waziristan.
Media reports said that Ehsan is expected to contact leaders anytime for peace talks.
