Punjabi taleban are basically LEJ/ASWJ, LET and JEM which have been created at some stage by the state. In the coming years I foresee Sindhi and Balochi taleban too, but it could take a decade as these people are strengthening themselves in those areas now.

It was about time, Shias have been attacked mercilessly for the past decade, the day they start responding we will go back to the 80's.

Govt needs to act fast. though they have imposed curfew but that's not enough it will only temporarily hide the issue. They need to bring both sides to justice and hang them

The deaths are on both sides, but who knows how many have been killed on which side. The media is tight lipped.

They were there during the past five years too. The attacks from 2007 to 2010 in Punjab were their handiwork. It included all the high profile attacks like GHQ, Naval HQ, Kamra, ISI/FIA Hq's and Srilankan team attacks. You remember the plea of Shahbaz Sharif begging them to leave Punjab alone?

I'd not brush this under the carpet. But then again this is the responsibility of the government to take this matter up forcefully with the governments involved (if they have intelligence). If the government remains quiet (as if nothing's happening) and depict that they want better relations with all these countries (Afghanistan, US and India) and do not punish the culprits what can one say.
Seen Indian response after Mumbai? What has Pakistan's response been if they have proof that India is involved in terrorism within the country?

I am not sure if I should take this as good news, both are terrorists. Even if they are splitting does not guarantee peace in the country, they are not surrendering to the government. Apparently Punjabi Taliban have heeded to call for negotiation from Nawaz Sharif, but would that be to provide peace only to Punjab?

Its a negative thought, and could result in a lot of bloodshed but I hope they kill each other (and let us live in peace).
