I believe the initial reports were that Taliban had asked for Imran Khan/Maulana Samiul Haq etc to be on the govts negotiating team (not the taliban team. That is a twist certain people added to make it spicier) In the end,** it turned out to be a fake news anyway.** But it was enough for ‘saeen’ party to get its kicks for a few minutes.

If it were fake news then Imran would not have rejected this suggestion.
