Our failure to see the truth only offers these terrorists encouragement to further their dark and evil agenda. Conspiracy theories have been misleading people since the beginning of WOT. We must take the responsibility of separating facts from fiction. No two other nations have sacrificed as much in the WOT. And no other two nations could understand each other’s sacrifices more. TTP have openly warned the Pakistani government for siding with the U.S. in WOT. TTP continues to warn the Pakistani government for allying with the U.S. and wants to see Pakistan break all ties with the U.S. They’ve openly claimed responsibility for targeting our convoys in the past. And they will not waste an opportunity to target our interests again. The bottom line is that they view our nations as a common threat that is preventing them from achieving their evil agenda. It’s our common stance against terrorism that brought us together in the first place, and continues to bind us together despite all the obstacles and challenges. Those who continue to give importance to conspiracy theories should know that our failure to acknowledge the obvious culprits could only result in more chaos and mayhem in the region. We must find a way to pull ourselves out of the web of conspiracies, and work together to eliminate the elements that are preventing us from bringing peace and stability to the region.

The two countries cannot come together with the US working arrogantly and considering Pakistan as an untrust worthy ally. Why sermons to Pakistan to do more and on its part tolerating terrorist sanctuaries in eastern Afghanistan? Why no sympathetic view on Pakistani pleas for halt to drone strikes?

We have been raising these points for ages (that US policies are increasing militancy) and now articles have started appearing that drones have increased anti Americanism and weakened the liberals, I know it’s no use discussing this with you. Every country which is being rocked by militant violence is saying the same things, ideally the Americans should have taken a back seat and analyzed their actions and their results. But I am sorry to say this is too much for the neocons running US defence.

A few years ago when the operations in South Waziristan was carried out carpet bombings took place, and a few months ago the air chief was taking pride that PAF has conducted 5500 bombing runs in FATA. Before carrying out the operations the army has to give the locals some time to go to safe areas which can be used by the militants to disperse as well. And just across the borders we have got terrorist sanctuaries which are more easily accessible for these groups as compared to other areas within Pakistan. Besides when Pakistan started operations in FATA, Americans vacated their bases in Eastern Afghanistan so as to provide the fleeing terrorists a safe haven.

Then co-operate with US even more to effectively use Drones to target the terrorists, instead of squabbling with US. I am sure if Pakistan participated in the covert operation whole heartedly then this problem can be eliminated. Instead, trying to protect some of the terror groups and using them for strategic advantages (assumed of course) is only taking Pakistan deeper in the vortex, from which only way out is more suffering, that could be avoided.

Pakistan has done more than any country could have.this mess is created by US/afghanistan ...why are they opposing sealing of borders? Why they still havent recognized durrand lines? Why do they have completely hand over eastern province to taliban?

What do you expect when OBL was living in a mansion in a developed area of Pakistan?

No one ever pleas for someone to stop striks.......you actually go and do something about it!

US policies are not increasing militancy it is the Generals of the Army and ISI whose limited world view are supporting militancy. If drone strikes are increasing militancy then why do we have extremists in Punjab and those killing in Quetta etc

The army takes half hearted action against the militants, lets them clear up way before they act ....

There is only so much you can blame on the militants.

Actually yes they are. Libya, Yemen, Mali are perfect examples.
