How many of you ttc girls are trying to loose weight, or have to do to get pregnant?
how many pounds do you have to shed in order to attain the ideal weight.

which measures are you taking.

I've been googling and looking for diet plans not just to loose weight but also to conceive.
We should have a proper diet plan. Breakfast, lunch and dinner.

it will be helpful if some who already had gone through this situation been overweight to ideal for conceiving. i want to know something that is tried and tested :).

cupcake i have a diet plan my doctor gave me to follow which is good to lose weight while ttc, i'll post sometime soon here. i'm not food lover so cutting down on meals only is not an option for me. they say eat 1 chapati in dinner and i ate only 1/2 home made. now i can't reduce it to 1/4 of a 8 inch chapati :P

Are you a soda/junk food lover? I've heard we totally need to avoid it which is a bit hard for a person like me :(

i'll do it late night today.

yeah i cupcake i like junk food too but as i said i'm not food lover. for me its easy to skip meals and this is not good. work out is also not possible as i work 13 hours a day. at the end of day i just want my bed :P

**Diet Plan

Early morning**

  • Glass of water
  • Skimmed milk
  • (no biscuit or cracker)

1 hour brisk walk

Break fast

  • Bran chapatti with egg white omelet, Glass of skimmed milk or cup of tea
  • Oat porridge prepared with skimmed milk + 2 white of boil egg or bran chapatti with fat free yogurt.

Brunch

  • Bowl of salad (like carrot, cucumber, tomatoes, apple, and guava) seasoned with fruit vinegar.
  • Bowl of chick peas (black)
  • Glass of skimmed milk with wheat biscuits.

1 hour before lunch 2 teaspoon full of benefibre in 1 glass of water.

Lunch

  • Bowl of soup prepared with chicken and ginger along with vegetable.
  • Bran chapatti with any salan (white meat or vegetable) cooked in less oil.

Tea time: Same as brunch

*Dinner: * Same as Lunch

Bed time: glass of skimmed milk.

Do’s & Don’ts

  • Take small frequent meals
  • Avoid beef and mutton
  • Avoid bakery items
  • Avoid junk food
  • Avoid fizzy drinks
  • Consume more chicken and fish
  • Drink 2 liters of water daily
  • Drink 4 to 6 glass of green tea daily

My friends mother is a gynecologist, and she told me that those women trying to conceive should not consume green tea. Yes, it is good to lose weight, but if your goal along the way is to conceive, you should avoid it.

And What I've read online is one should have full fat products, instead of fat free. Is this true?
