Matsui fails to make All-Rookie Team
It seems Hideki Matsui just hasn’t been getting any respect lately. The Japanese outfielder was left off the the Topps All-Rookie Team announced Friday. Matsui was beaten out by Tampa Bay’s Rocco Baldelli, Cleveland’s Jody Gerut and Milwaukee’s Scott Podsednik. Earlier this week, Matsui was beaten by Kansas City’s Angel Berroa in voting for AL Rookie of the Year.
