TSA asked 95 years old woman to remove her adult diaper.

Is it getting too much or you think its ok and we all have to, no matter which age, gender we belong to, need to pay a little price to keep the air travel safe?

Re: TSA asked 95 years old woman to remove her adult diaper.

This is ridiculous.

Re: TSA asked 95 years old woman to remove her adult diaper.

Some experts say that if we let go of 95 years old people during screening every time, then terrorist will use such people to execute their acts of terrorism.

Re: TSA asked 95 years old woman to remove her adult diaper.

I personally went through a full body scan a couple of weeks ago on a trip. It's strange but not a big deal if we can prevent people from smuggling in arms etc.

The poor 95 year old. Maybe they should have a separate security line for the aged/handicapped with special procedures.

Re: TSA asked 95 years old woman to remove her adult diaper.

I thinks scans are better than the hand search but yeah they should have special measures for people with needs.

Re: TSA asked 95 years old woman to remove her adult diaper.

Not many days ago, a youtube video emerged when TSA was doing a hand pat on a 3 years old girl. I know this all sounds horrific but I think they are still doing their job.

Re: TSA asked 95 years old woman to remove her adult diaper.

Back in India, despite all the tight screenings and usual stuff, they still have the one on one hand probing system. They do use a hand held device, and for private areas, they do use hands, and if you’re wearing a sanitary napkin, then they really push and shove . Badtameez. Of course you have female security officers for females, but it’s uncomfortable. My older one told the lady “Why are you touching me? My mom said no one was allowed to touch me except for her.” So the lady giggled and told her she’s just doing her job.

Re: TSA asked 95 years old woman to remove her adult diaper.

If they have all the scans and everything then why do they need to touch them?

Funny thing is I was hand searched at Lahore airport (by female security officers) but at Heathrow they didn't even touch me or my luggage, they were pretty relaxed.

Re: TSA asked 95 years old woman to remove her adult diaper.

lagta hai desis are still living in stone age.

Re: TSA asked 95 years old woman to remove her adult diaper.

^^Because they are the touchy touchy types. Maybe to give more employment :hmmm:?

Re: TSA asked 95 years old woman to remove her adult diaper.

dont start.. last time i flew from india it was pretty bad. the metal detectors on indian airports are horrible. i havent seen it not beep for anyone. so everyone gets patted down. very “frandly” pat down where metal detector is rubbed on you like a massage stick, by crpf jawans - its basically a muscular guy trained to be a soldier doing the job of a tsa patdown-wala. i was carrying a hiking gps device in my bag, the guy wanted me to explain to him what it was. in hindi. :\

Re: TSA asked 95 years old woman to remove her adult diaper.

You should have sued him for mental anguish. Weird people.

Re: TSA asked 95 years old woman to remove her adult diaper.

hmm... How exactly would a terrorist would infiltrated her diaper?

Re: TSA asked 95 years old woman to remove her adult diaper.

poor woman...even with all these security measures..terrorists manage to follow thru'with bomb blasts etc world over....
more countries are getting as bad as desi airports...

Re: TSA asked 95 years old woman to remove her adult diaper.

ridiculous. i was once body searched inside the plane (with metal detector and then hand search) for being the only desi and knowing too many people on that particular flight.

Now i enjoy all such things and dont miss any occasion where i can throw a joke on them :)

Re: TSA asked 95 years old woman to remove her adult diaper.

I can see why they had to pat the lady down and dont disagree with it, but making her take her diaper off? Not good.

Re: TSA asked 95 years old woman to remove her adult diaper.

I am sure if more of these embarrassing incidents come out in the open they will come up with more and more friendly ways of doing their jobs.

Re: TSA asked 95 years old woman to remove her adult diaper.

^But how many 95 years old diaper wearers there are who travel by air often?

Re: TSA asked 95 years old woman to remove her adult diaper.

The emphasis here is on embarrassing incidents not on 95 year old adult diaper wearing ladies.

Re: TSA asked 95 years old woman to remove her adult diaper.

what if a terrorist sends his own 95 years old grandmother with some chemical bomb (without her knowledge), knowing that TSA is not going to check her
