Anybody who’s ever studied at Karachi University or knows anybody who has may have chanced on the word PG or in Prem Gali.
Prem Gali used to be the meeting place for couples head over heels in love with each other. The legend has it that two people who walk in together end up getting married. Or that is what people like saying about it. But that is all history now it has turned into a food street.
While TS is a road surrounded by trees and provides shade to students and when you walk through it you will feel like you are in an air-conditioned room
Did you ever come across such places in college, universities? Or any particular area associated with someone or something?
In Sindh University, an Ex- VC Allama I I Qazi married a German lady Elsa. Elsa Qazi and I I Qazi were deeply in love with each other and everyone respected them. When Elsa Qazi died, Mr Qazi couldn't bear her loss and after a short he probably committed suicide by jumping from Jamshoro Bridge ( Don't know whether its reliable or not). Their graves are lover's point in Sindh University, Jamshoro.
Wah kia bat hy zabardast, a german lady learning sindhi.Respect to phir bnti hy na
yes Sindh University students and literary people refer her as Jiji - a term variant of 'Jeejal' used for Mother. Other ladies in Sindh who got this title are Abida Parveen and Zareena Baloch and not any lady from Bhutto clan
