you need to focus on the days immediately before ovulation. sperm needs at least 8 hours inside you to become viable and waiting for the egg (i can’t remember the terminology for the process right now). if you have sex only on the day you ovulate, you’re sort of minimising your chances because the egg might already have become unviable by the time the sperm is ready. you should aim to determine when you are ovulating each month with the help of the ovulation predictor, and then have intercourse 2 or 3 days in a row prior to ovulation but just once a day. having sex multiple times in one day isn’t helpful either because it reduces the quality of the sperm. having it again on the day of ovulation would be good too. after ovulation, your chances aren’t that great.
