Burqa,
But the Germans are still German, despite the Nazi association.
The reason why the term Muhajir has been used is because at least 40% Muhajirs are not Urdu-speaking. We have Gujaratis, Kokanis, Dakanis, Malbaris, Andhra and Tamil Muslims. But there experience matches that of the Delhi/ Rajasthan /UP/ MP and Bihar Muslims, whose first language is Urdu. And the term predates the MQM. I have no problem describing myself as a Muhajir.
Pakistan is state and not a nation. Ask any Punjabi, and he will bore with discussions about their history and culture and quote verses from Bulleh Shah. Its only us Urdu-speakers who are embarased of our culture and language. I am just as guilty, with my knowledge of Urdu being really poor. Its about time we took as much pride in our culture as other Pakistani ethnic groups.
