I’ve had many negative experiences mainly dealing with docs of my eldest son but also from my experience in dealing with infertility so my trust has been forever broken. When I’m told something, I go home and snuggle up to Google, read everything and anything I can about what I’ve been told. And many times, I find that I’ve not been give correct info or sometimes not complete info.
Most of the time, it seems to me that the problem is that the docs are too busy to listen or they make huge assumptions based on textbook learning and personal views on their patient.
No offense intended to the docs here on GS…this has just been my personal experience.
let just say M03 , we should thank every day that we are not in pakistan trusting doctors with our lives.
(I have many doctors in my family! but they are good ppl)
Stories If I tell you, you would be surprised. How doctors think its just a "job".
A medical student gets operated. His prof. on vocation finds out. Calls hospital(attached to the collage).
Tell them "be care full while doing his stomach surgery don't cut/touch so and so in his stomach "
Answer "we already did, Boy is dead"
And young doctors tend to kill pain fastest, They give you the strongest medicines possible.
Older ones usually know your history: know your body, they consider "you" as a part of healing.
They tend to go easy on medicines.
I trust them to a certain extent. Sometimes I wonder if they are telling me the truth or are they trying to get more money in their pocket. When in doubt I get a second opinion.
Cant really tell. Good I don't get sick lolzz
I still can not trust any doctor out side of my family NO WAY.
No way I am going UNDER their knife OR taking their drugs(with out calling back home)
like NO, period!!!!
good and bad experiences... hate docs that cant explain the problem cuz they have a waiting room full of patients.. u go in, get checked out and the doc gives u meds without bothering to listen to you.. taking what ure saying seriously and rushing u out or getting frustrated when u just want to be pacified... losers.
im not fond of docs.. and no matter how nice they start off their careers.. thinking oh we will help ppl and oh no i will never be so rock hearted.. they all end up being like that..
I dont trust doctors blindly. I do my research and really listen to my symptoms before I go too far with what they're saying to me. Ive learned to do this because Ive been plagued with severe acne all my life...until recently. Shukar Allah ka. :) Ive also got allergies and catch colds easily.
I dont like being dependant on lotions and potions...I want something more permanent that will treat the problem and not just zap a zit. Im sure their diagnosis is usually on the mark but not always. I used to listen to my grandmother but now she is gone. I trust google, my brain and doctors to some extent.
If it makes sense in my head, I go for it. Otherwise, no.
