People think, if there's smoke, there's fire. Unfortunately, what a lot of people don't understand is, if a story is repeated often enough, others start believing it. When one story is created, more stories follow to make it even worse.
Poor girl. May Allah give her strength in these hard times. And yes, if the guy doesn't trust her, it's no use. Trust is the foundation of any relationship.
She should never loose herself, she knows what she is like, she knows the truth and Allah knows it too. Now she will discover true mentality of some people, she will find out who really is her friend and who is just a so-called friend.
Tell her to stay strong and be patient no matter how hard it is sometimes.
