Trump is going to recognize Jerausalem as Israeli capital today and will move its embassy as well.
What it means is that Israel is declared as the ultimate winner of 70 years hard struggle and arabs have nothing but to suck it up and get confined in the most inhumane conditions of Gaza. There is a possiblity that tomorrow just like Rohingya is wiped out, Gaza can be wiped out too.
And this is done too systematically. By involving the Saudi crown prince who took care of all key arab factors on the name of purge or unified so-called army or wutever. Egypt is ruled by a dictator also certified by US. So everything is in control.
Its the historic day for Israel. I’m sure Palestine will soon be a matter of past.

President Donald Trump told the Palestinian Authority’s president that he would move the US Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, and he is expected to recognize the city as the capital of Israel on Wednesday.
Doing so would be in line with Israeli law but would violate international law and would most likely upset Arabs and Muslims across the region.
The move could seriously undermine Israeli-Palestinian peace efforts.
It could also strain US regional relationships, potentially putting its strategic interests at risk.
Maybe Netanyahu has promised Trump his spy agency’s help with fighting the FBI’s Russia investigations. Otherwise, this move is simply suicide for a guy who was elected by a base of racist rurals and rusties who wanted US to do less political things globally, especially with helping Israel’s agenda. What sense does it make for a US president to decide what the capital of another country halfway around the globe is?
There is an exception for Israel as the Messiah is supposed to come there. That is another issue that Jews would be offed if they don’t believe in the Messiah later.
Frankly, I don’t think that it is a big issue considering america’s support of israel and what arabs have and haven’t done for Palestinians. As they say that poora nanga ho kay aa giya. This pretty much lets everyone know where US stands as far as Israel and Palestine issue.
I like Trump in that sense that he is honest about his views unlike the whistle calls of thugs, state rights, welfare queens, illegal immigration (not a fan but it is about ending all immigration) and “voting ID” that GOP has employed for decades.
I agree with most of the last line that this patently exposes the GoP agenda for what it really is, no more cloaking things under “liberty” and “freedom.” But that isnt saying Trump is honest about his views - he just simply has no tact or discipline and blurts things out with condescension when it isnt about white Americans or dictators, but he lies thru his teeth about plenty of things daily.
This administration is happily setting fires all over the world - North Korea, Saudi-Iran, Palestine - it is doing so with a hollowed out state department. Still no US ambassador to Seoul. Many of the US career diplomats who keep matters for spiraling out of control are now out of a job, and their posts remain unfilled. Tillerson himself is likely to be gone in a month. An international crisis breaks loose now, and we are looking at some serious consequences and unchecked escalations. Maybe that is the Bannon/Sessions plan.

and speaking of this topic of illegal settlers…last i remember millions of muslims came from india to pakistan in 1947, kicked out original owners and took over their homes and lands. now we can always make an argument that the 1947 division was not meant to be like this but hey, that is what eventually happened.
and you can also make an argument that same happened to muslims in india who had to migrate but at least muslims were asking for a separate land, so they paid a price for it but what about Hindus and sikhs in pakistan? all those hindis and sikhs who had to leave pakistan did not ask for 1947 partition, they did not want to leave their beloved dead ones behind, they did not want to abandon their homes, their dreams, their memories, their streets, their mohallas, their schools, their colleges, their mandars, their gurdwaras, but they were forced to do this…so Pakistanis shd be the last one to protest on Palestine issue.

I think that the only difference is that a major part if not the majority of Israel was made by actually cleansing Palestinians of their land sort of how east punjab was “sikhified” by cleansing muslims in 1947. I have also read that Israel got more land than the jewish majority areas but I am not 100% on if it was part of the partition plan or the aftermath of the 1948 war.
Israel did in fact study Pakistan’s 1951? refugee resettlement with abandoned properties supposedly to go to the indian migrants which didn’t always happen. I think that India did a similar law but Pakistan was relevant to Israel since both countries were made for religious communities instead of an ethnicity.

The India-Pakistan partition might have been violent and unfair to millions, but in the decades since, it was done and dealt with for most purposes. Besides bruised egos, and Kashmir, this isnt a smoldering issue and the vast majority of Indians and Pakistanis can go about their normal daily lives. That isnt the case for Palestinians. Not really an apples to apples comparison or basis for whataboutery.
So far almost every other country seems to condemn Trump’s declaration (during which his dentures came loose lol.. no joke, this guy is a disaster in so many ways). He gets no respect from anyone outside the US, remains to be seen how much he can bully the rest into backing his deplorable crew’s hazardous agendas.
I absolutely disagree. Its a very calculated move. The plan is ofcourse coming from Israel and acted by Trump cuz no other lunatic can do it while the ground levelled by Saudi Crown Prince and Egyptian dictator. They know that arabs are in tatters. There wont be any retaliation for now atleast.
So its time for celebration in Israel. This declaration is the death certificate of the concept of two state solution. Palestine is now a part of history.
No I disagree and let me explain how it’ll effect IMO.
First of all, it means the so-called “two state solution” is completely dead. No more Palestine.
Second, look at what used to happen before Trump. People did hate muslims or black but there was no voice to it. He asked for muslim ban (which is now enforced), tomorrow he can easily ask for all muslims to register, and then sending them to concentration camps. There is no end to it.
Look at how white supremacists are prevailing. They are holding rallies publicly all around. Was it possible before Trump? No.
Same can go wrong here. Right now there are Arabs liviing in Jerasulem. and also visiting in. Tomorrow US may say, hey our embassy is here. We need security. We dont want any arabs in the city. Its not safe. We want them out. And it’ll happen.
So a door of endless dark possibilities is opened. And there is no end to it.

The leaders may or may not do much - they have leverage on Trump both politically and personally - it was only a few weeks ago that Trump was begging in a speech to the Saudis to list Aramco on a US exchange for one. But what this is almost certain to do is increase the chances of jihadi attacks targeting America and Americans. And when that happens, we all know where Trump and co. are going with it.
