i just finished making truffles from this recipe - Decadent Chocolate Truffles Recipe - and WOW! are they ever good and SO insanely easy! birthday/anniversary/christmas/eid presents for all! yay!
i dipped the truffles in walnuts, coconut, and cocoa powder. i also dipped some in dark chocolate.
also, as per other reviewer’s suggestions on the site, i cut the sugar and chocolate chips to 2 cups each and added 2 tbsps heavy cream to the mix. i wanted a raspberry flavour so i also added in 2 tbsps of raspberry jam.
just made them, and omg they are SO divine!! and so darn easy too! i only wish i’d made double the qty given in the recipe, coz i’m not sure i can resist eating them before the guests arrive
made em with raspberry preserve and with the modifications you suggested. thanks SGC :k:
Sahar any time! just pop over after sunday and have as many as you like. Ummmm after sunday because I didn;t get time to make them yesterday, will make them sunday now :D
variations i've been thinking of for this recipe...
raspberry rolled in coconut, mint flavored ones rolled in dark chocolate, milk chocolate rolled in white chocolate, white chocolate rolled in more white chocolate.. droool
the most popular ones in my batch turned out to be the milk chocolate ones that were rolled in coconut. if you're planning on rolling them in walnuts, make sure the walnuts are crushed pretty finely or they won't stick well.
namkeen, how many did yours yield? i halved the recipe and got exactly 30, which is pretty accurate considering the full recipe yield is 60. i used a melon baller to get the same amount of chocolate per truffle.
