TrueCrypt is a full drive encryption software that is totally cross platform and i love it. Since i updated to Mac OS 10.10 (Yosemite) that last version of Truecrypt (7.1a) wouldn’t install. If you are suffering from the same issue here’s all you need to do:

Open the TrueCrypt mpkg package contents, then open the Contents folder.

Open distribution.dist with a text editor.

Remove lines 13 to 18.

Save the file and open the mpkg normally.
Note 1: It basically checks to see if your OS is 10.4 or higher and as 10.1 is lower it fails.
Note 2: If you are going to ask what TrueCrypt is then you should move along, nothing to see here.
