Troy...

^^ I rest my case

An awesome movie! :k:

I loved it! Most of the dialogue sucked though…

I liked the scened of Prince Paris fighting Meneleaus…:rotfl:

The action scenes were pretty good…

Pre-classical Greeks were blond and green/blue eyed, it wasn’t until the Turkmen contaminated the Greek race. I watched it last night, and I thought it was OK. I have been to both Sparta and Troy, and they look nothing like what they looked like in the Movie. Well, caz I went there more recently.

Xtreme thinks that the role of Achilles should have been played by Hugh Grant to make it seem more authentic and manly and juicified. Somehow I can picture Agamemnon and Menalaus taking turn with Achilles. Hugh friggin Grant.

There's a good reason why it looked nothing like Troy...it was shot in places like Morocco which might have something to do with it. My opinion on the film is that it was a let down, although for the vast majority there's enough fluff there to keep the clueless happy. I thought it was kind of sad though that the least wooden performance came from the Trojan Horse.

it was being shot in Morraco, but then got moved to like MExico because of fears of terrorism

The action scenes were AWESOME!
Story was weak, and wht they did to Eric Bana was not very cool either to say the least.

But overall it was fun to watch. :k:

Well i think so far, for 2004 that is, it's been the best movie that's come off hollywood.
the best scene was the dual between Pitt and Bana, really liked that one and overall it was pretty good entetainement.

Hector played by Eric Bana was just  Watched the movie today and I enjoyed it thoroughly!

And Brad flashed his butt twice, did you guys notice??

r u serious??? why haven’t I seen it yet?:crying: what the hell is wrong with me???somebody plz spank me!

Twice? I didn't even notice his butt the first time round. Brad does nothing for me. Eric Bana was the star of this movie ... in both looks and character.

^^ finally a sane female reply :D

actually Brad Pitt is one of the better actors around. His roles in Snatch and bit part in True Romance as a clueless junkie are testament to that. In this one though he was just flat and it didn't suit him at all.

And that Helen...face that launched a thousand ships? They should cast her in the Stepford Wives remake.

lol Mehnaz, it was twice I tell you! (if not more, my friend insisted it was 3)

But I definitely preferred Eric Bana, he was a better actor in the movie, youre right. He was great.

His movies are extremely good. My favourites include his psycho role in Kalifornia, Snatch and Legends of the Fall. I think he is an underrated actor and does indeed deserve more awards. Looks wise ... I dunno ... he just doesn't do it for me. :D

The overall character of Achilles in this movie was just weak.

Saw it over the weekend. I liked the movie. Hector was clearly the star of the movie. The seriousness and ability were unmatched, especially when compared to his brother who was just a pretty lover-boy.

I liked some of Pitt's dialogues. His dry humor and total disdain for the king were amusing. Plus his fighting sequences were nice, especially the first scene where he killed the guy in all of five seconds.

Ok finally watched it today. Despite some bad acting(Brad pitt) it was great. Hector(Bana) stole the show in my opinion.

Re: Troy…

i finally saw this

it was so sad

i mean i totalyl knew what was gonna happen (for the most part) b/c i love mythology

i had to separate it from the story i knew and the story the told

but i actually liked it a lot
