ok this is the first time in a while, that i’ve been able to open GS…Every time before this, it freezes and shuts down
Is it just me, or anyone else having issues as well?

you may have problems in yr pc, you need to update your windows ...and other reasons could be low memory and bad sectors on HDD some times cuses the same problem...results in files corruption.
first try to update windows, hope fully that will resolve the issue...
