This is a good move & while we’re at can we put Mullah Radio & his hate station out of business? That should be on priority list of things to do.

MINGORA: The government has decided to deploy army and paramilitary troops at a number of educational institutions in Mingora in the wake of mounting attacks, especially on girls’ schools, in the Swat valley. Mingora is the region’s administrative headquarters.
According to an official, 25 soldiers have been posted at each of the 16 institutions covered by the new security measure.
The official, however, hastened to add: ‘It is impossible to protect all government buildings against militants’ attacks by deploying troops.’ He was alluding to requests by the valley’s administration that the government step in to protect educational institutions in the face of repeated threats by militants to destroy schools and colleges ‘corrupting the youth.’
Security forces have been lodged in a number of schools and colleges ever since the extremists started targeting educational institutions in their confrontation with the state.
The followers of Maulana Fazlullah, who is spearheading the ‘jihad for the promulgation of an Islamic order’ in Swat, have so far demolished 170 buildings housing schools.
Sher Afzal Khan, a spokesman for the education department, urged the government to take steps for protection of all schools and colleges in the region.

CLASHES: Security forces stepped up their crackdown against militants in the valley on Saturday, killing eight of them when they were poised to attack a check-post in Kabal tehsil.
Officials claimed a local militant ‘commander’, Noor Bakhtiar, was among the dead. Other militants killed in the gun battle were identified as Hazrat Ali, Ijaz Ali, Sher Malik, Sher Ali, Gul Umar, Mohammad Ayub and Ajab Khan.
In Bern tehsil, militants threw a hand-grenade into a school building. There were no casualties.

About time these *******s died.

Mullah radio would have been out of Jihad business long time ago, if not for the local support from "hard-core" Muslims and their mosques.

^ The problem is all about the Taliban/Al Qaeda groups and their tactics. They fool people with impressions of being religious and standing up for people's rights, which allows them to infiltrate. What you're seeing in Swat now, is their true colors coming out - but they've been infiltrating for some time now.

Just take a look at the interviews given to Dawn by people escaping from Bajaur, and what they have to say - they describe what it was like when the Taliban were first entering their villages - and its nothing short of scary how deep the ignorance among village people truly goes - they sincerely thought that the Taliban were harmless and were only there to help if nothing else, and their actions initially were not like what we're seeing now in Swat - i.e. burning schools, and spreading a fascist hatred for shalwaars below the ankle and clearly mental stuff of that sort.

So when the muslims welcomed them into their mosque, they were well fooled.

What is scary is - how much of that is going on currently in urban areas with the mosques right now?

^^ Right on.

The scary thing is that it is not the Bajore villages who were ignorant of the Talib plague, they were not worldly wise and perhaps got deceived by the Talib propaganda.

The scarier thing is that many on this board who were either born or at least raised in the West, and had access to all the info, ARE the biggest supporters of the Talibani terror.
