I still think the whole process is entirely messed up Vertical, and our society needs to make revisions or do things more tactfully. Although I've only had 1 real such experience, and 1 in a more casual atmosphere (where they forced me and the dude into a room) while our parents sat downstairs, I'm not going through it again. I strongly believe in the guy taking the initiative and not his parents - shows he has balls. Ofcourse he should take decisions with his parents blessings, but at the end of the day its his life, and to me it matters more if he takes a fancy to me, and not his mum.
