Re: Trivia

Batsman "A" calls for a run and runs to the bowlers end, fielder throw at the bowlers end. The ball strikes the wicket and the bails come off but batsman "A" has already made his ground. No one was backing up so the batsmen run over throws. Now batsmen "B" is approaching the bowling end (danger end) and the throw comes in from the deep. There is a chance for the bowler to run out batsman "B". How would he do it with bails already off the wickets ?

  • I am sure it's any easy one, couldnt think of anything else :)

Re: Trivia

2 options :

  1. Set the bail back and then take it off using ball.
  2. Take the stump off the ground using ball.

Re: Trivia

2nd option sounds good

Re: Trivia

You have to remove the stump whilst having the ball in contact with it. Such an occurance happened not so long ago, involving Eng if I recall correctly.
