Trip to London-help needed

Folks,

I’m planning a trip to London sometime in August. Most probably second weekend of August. What’s the best way to go about it in flight arrangements?

I checked Yahoo Travel, Expedia, Priceline etc and the best package I got was $793.00 for round trip + 1 night stay in Kensington Forum. The flight is about 10 hours as it connects in Ohio and so will arrive Sat AM if leaving on Friday PM. Has anyone travelled to London recently? Is it better to make arrangements via travel agent and make reservations for hotel on your own? Also, how are the shuttle/transportation arrangements from Hethrew Airport to Kenningston area? Any suggestions tips etc will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You idiot...I was with that sikh b@stard who is planning a trip to London as well. You b@stards are the same.

hey im going to london too :hula: but in september

try travel.com.. they seem to have the best airfares.. well they worked out the cheapest for me

im going to try arrange the hotel myself.. i have some great sites for hotels if u need them

p.s i need help too

romani pa gi plenty of intelligent london based gups on board yaar contact them they'll fix ur problem.

try this for accommodation

cheap hotels

sadzzz, someone told me to make sure to make online reservations with hotels otherwise they rip you off pretty bad. I think he probably meant to make reservations in advance (either by calling or online).

roman, yeah thats what i intend to do. Travel.com.au give i think discounts if u book a hotel thru them.. so i may pick out some hotel and then book it thru them... i think neways

You two should share a room at St. Martins Lane in the Strand.

Matty, im going a month later :halo:

is that a cheap hotel though? im low on cash

sadzzz, that's a pretty good link. Thanks a bunch! Unfortunately travel.com isn't really giving any good deal. I think it's expensive because of the weekend timeframe.

roman, no probs :) ive been investigating for awhile now.. umm i tried travel.com.au

how about airfares.com?

idiot, BQA just announced a $89 dollar each way ticket. DO you live in the jungles of baltimre or something?

how long you intend to stay ROman? you can book hotel yourself that would be cheap, pricing from £50 per night for a single room.
From Heathrow take Piccadly line which will take you straight to South Kensington.

Ullu, what's BQA?

Gadhay BQA is the same as BA. Unless you are an ass.

Kamran, it's gonna be a weekend thing. Most probably leaving on Friday evening from Washington and leaving Sunday noon/afternoon from London. Yeh, there are some good prices on sadzzz's link for hotels.

if its a weekend trip then book it in advance otherwise you might endup staying somewhere in eastend. MAtsui is rite abt the BAA's deal, I heard abt that as well. but you can find a direct flight to LHR in just about £350

Matty gadhay, I already checked that. The travel dates are between Oct 28-Dec. I'm talking Aug, you idiot.

but you can find a direct flight to LHR in just about £350

That means around $643 and assuming $100 for a night at hotel plus adding misc taxes/fees etc it'd pretty much come upto around priceline offer of $793. hmmm.

Wait, I thought you were a BA frquent flyer...nevermind. That deal is not offered to sihtbirds. Try Khotairline.
