Re: Trip to Lisbon, Portugal

Lisbon is famous for Trams, they are everywhere and good for old people to move around the city as the city is built on hills and some areas are quite steep. I did not sit in one, because they move too slow for my liking… LoL!

Re: Trip to Lisbon, Portugal

**Lisbon city view from Sao Jorge Castle. The castle itself is simple and modest. Nothing much to view like in Versailles. Lisbon itself is very calm, peaceful and chill place. **

Re: Trip to Lisbon, Portugal

**Inside the castle they had a room showing Islamic rule in parts of Spain. **

Re: Trip to Lisbon, Portugal

Parca do Comercio, where I was offered some performance related drugs by a guy

Re: Trip to Lisbon, Portugal

Padrao dos Descobrimentos in Santa Maria de Belem, about 10 minute train ride from Lisbon city center. Ticket, I think, was about 1.4 euro. Train came on time and was clean than Parisian RERs…

The bridge you see in these pictures is famous 25th of April Bridge (Ponte 25 de Abril)

Re: Trip to Lisbon, Portugal

Some shots in Belem, nice tranquil place. There is a famous shop selling Belem Pastries, try them they taste great.

Re: Trip to Lisbon, Portugal

Parque das Nacoes and the view of Tagus River. They also have a cable car overhead but I preferred to walk around. It was Sunday and the place was full of people.

**Vasco da Gama Bridge

**

Re: Trip to Lisbon, Portugal

Parque Eduardo VII, you can walk from Parca do Comercio till this park. You will use the main road of the city Avenida da Liberdade.

Re: Trip to Lisbon, Portugal

an awesome place to settle in europe, great weather, and much cheaper than rest of the europe....

easy papers too compared to the rest.

our family used to be in Lisbon too! They miss it now after leaving.

Re: Trip to Lisbon, Portugal

Throughout the city the footpaths are made of small sized marble pieces like,

They look good but they become slippery when wet. I wondered if Lisbonian women don’t wear heels but I saw some and they managed fine
