Hey Guys!
So husband and I want to take like a 3-4 day getaway to Florida but I am so confused, should we do Orlando or Miami??? We are not really into all the kiddy things like Disney World and stuff but at the same time I have heard there is tons to do at these theme parks even if you dont have children. But what are those things? The things I would like to do is like swimming with dolphins, seeing that alligator lake and riding through it. I know Miami is really big for lavish dining and the night life but I would like to do more sight seeing and experience all the fun stuff Florida is known for. Anyone with experience?? Please help! ![]()

I would say go to both places. Miami is 4 and a half hours drive from Orlando to Miami. Even when we have been to Florida on short trips, we have done both cities. South Beach is great in Miami and the art deco district as well. Don't miss Universal Studios in Orlando. Yes, the theme parks are funeven for adults. I loved Epcot and The Magic Kindgom.

^yep we did both in our 4 day trip.. we flew to Miami- visiting south beach, artdeco walking our, everglades airboat tour, day trip to Epcot in Orlando (we had been there before but hadnt done the countries part of it yet so that was perfect), and I believe a day trip to the fort lauderdale beach! and this we took it slow because I was 6 weeks pregnant, tired, sleepy and throwing up! you can do more if you like to visit as much as possible in a short time!
By the way, I found Animal kingdom and Epcot to be very adult friendly! Loved the rides! you cant do them all with kids so its better to go with adults!
if you want to swim with dolphins, look into visiting sea world in Orlando!

If you not into the kiddy stuff you can skip Orlando. It's far up north anyway. Instead drive down to the Florida Keys. Lots of fun water activities and the water is gorgeous. You are almost touching the Caribbean waters.
Hit Key Largo, Islamorada, the drive to key west is worth it and you can snorkel, eat very good fish, boat etc.
Best place for swimming with dolphins is Discovery Cove. It's expensive but worth it in my opinion.

Second NJ totally.
Fly to Miami if you must, else fly to Key West directly, rent a car there and explore the keys. Lots of fun stuff to do there. Stay at a hotel on / about Duvall Street.
Cheers
