Trip to Chicago.

I am not sure if this is the right place to post.. mods please feel free to move.

We are taking a trip to chicago in first week of march and I need to know some places we can visit around devon avenue with family activities. We went to lincoln park zoo last time and shedd aquarium. Is their any other places we can visit that is kids friendly? We like to have dinner and brunch at devon street. Please recommend some restaurants as well. We have tried sabri nahiri and love it. Usually we go to tohara for halwa puri on Sunday morning. I heard usmania’s chinese is pretty good as well but never tried it. It’s a one day trip so we are trying to get some fun out of it!

Thanks!

Re: Trip to Chicago.

Well you can go to Field Museum, I am sure kids will love it and alder planetarium is also right next to it.
For resturants, do try JK Kabab on Devon, its grilled stuff and its yummy. Usmania chinese is good too but their curries are spicy so do ask them to go easy for kids.

Re: Trip to Chicago.

Thanks TKlucky :).

Re: Trip to Chicago.

yeah Adler planetarium would be a good choice!

Re: Trip to Chicago.

Feild museum is so much fun for kids :k:

You should go see Navy Pier too. It’s a very lively place and you can also take boat tours(30-60 mins).

Re: Trip to Chicago.

Take the architectural ferry ride in the Chicago river too...

For obvious reasons, goto a Lahori restaurant :D If you're late, there's a lahori chargha place on devon...

Re: Trip to Chicago.

I think he was describing himself… giving you a quick intro.. :hehe:

Re: Trip to Chicago.

Field Museum is awesome for kids…so is Navy Pier. The architectural tour on the ferry is really nice from NP but it might still be a bit chilly to be on the water. Garfield Park is an indoor park with lots of tropical plants…another place to see.

On Devon, my favorite spots are: Khan BBQ (try their grilled items and broast chicken), Anmol (all of the food is just :hayaa:) and Sabri.

Re: Trip to Chicago.

Khan BBQ is the best. Go to Khan BBQ everyday.

Take your kids to Independence Grove if the weather is nice, it's a bit up north, but it's pretty cool. Go boating, walk and stuff.

Re: Trip to Chicago.

Thanks Reha and Jafri. We always wanted to go to Navy Pier but maybe next trip when we have more time. We are def going to try field museum if we have time and Khan BBQ as well this time since I have heard so much good about their grilled kabobs and chicken tikka :)
