I am not sure if this is the right place to post.. mods please feel free to move.
We are taking a trip to chicago in first week of march and I need to know some places we can visit around devon avenue with family activities. We went to lincoln park zoo last time and shedd aquarium. Is their any other places we can visit that is kids friendly? We like to have dinner and brunch at devon street. Please recommend some restaurants as well. We have tried sabri nahiri and love it. Usually we go to tohara for halwa puri on Sunday morning. I heard usmania’s chinese is pretty good as well but never tried it. It’s a one day trip so we are trying to get some fun out of it!
Well you can go to Field Museum, I am sure kids will love it and alder planetarium is also right next to it.
For resturants, do try JK Kabab on Devon, its grilled stuff and its yummy. Usmania chinese is good too but their curries are spicy so do ask them to go easy for kids.
Field Museum is awesome for kids…so is Navy Pier. The architectural tour on the ferry is really nice from NP but it might still be a bit chilly to be on the water. Garfield Park is an indoor park with lots of tropical plants…another place to see.
On Devon, my favorite spots are: Khan BBQ (try their grilled items and broast chicken), Anmol (all of the food is just ) and Sabri.
Thanks Reha and Jafri. We always wanted to go to Navy Pier but maybe next trip when we have more time. We are def going to try field museum if we have time and Khan BBQ as well this time since I have heard so much good about their grilled kabobs and chicken tikka :)
