Trip to Bahawalpur

Hello,

my hubby is from Bahawalpur and we want to visit his mother during spring time next year.
Our daughter will be 5-6 months old by then.

Is anyone here from Bahawalpur? I need the name and address of the best child doctor there (in case our daughter gets ill which I dont hope) and please also suggest the best shopping places (except the local bazars), restaurants or any other trendy place, etc.

We will be there for 3 to 4 weeks.

Many thanks in advance!

Re: Trip to Bahawalpur

I am not from Bahawalpur, but visited the place with the family when my brother was 6 months old. He was sick the whole 3 weeks we spent there, so we didn't have a very nice time.

I know you will take precautions but really try to be extra careful in terms of drinking water and exposing your daughter to the heat over there. Yes, even in spring it can get very hot in Bahawalpur. If you can try not to go out too much with the baby.

Re: Trip to Bahawalpur

you don't need to take the child to a pediatrician right away...any good family physician is good enough for basic illnesses...if, God forbid, there is a need, your family physician will refer you to one...

...besides, your hosts will KNOW who a good pediatrician is in their town so don't worry. do what Umer saaHab suggested and iA u'll be fine...i would add one more thing, don't let your child near a sick person [ones who have cold/flu]...

Re: Trip to Bahawalpur

There are many competent physicians there. Your husband is from Bahawalpur, I assume he grew up there so he must be well acquainted with the city.
There are stores like barezee', Chen one, nishat etc there in main areas of the city.
Few reasonable restaurants like Four seasons, Wasaib , if they suit ut palate, are also there along with a couple of fast food places as well.
summers as a whole in Pakistan are of extreme, Bahawalpur is no different. You can go out in the evenings.
