trimming facial hairs

Hello,

I have thick sideburn, chin and neck hairs and ive decided to trim them until i can save up for electrolysis.

I’ve been waxing and threading over the past few years and noticed it has been very bad for my skin, as i broke out, aswell as light vellus hairs turning into terminal ones because of the constant plucking. Becuase of these methods, i have been having acne. bleaching is not an option as the hair is quite coarse so it would end up looking blondie.

what do you think of trimming neck hairs (its hard for me to reach there for waxing anyway) and chin hairs and side burns? with my moustache area i used an epistick and alhumdulilah i havent been having problems there.

would anyone suggest any good trimmers? I know there are lady trimmers but there are really expensive than the man ones lol.

thanks alot

Re: trimming facial hairs

Hiya, well first congrats on deciding to go for electrolysis. This period until you save the money is no doubt going to be hard but it will be worth it in the end. Electrolysis should also help with the acne. My sister has barely visible hairs on her cheeks but she gets a lot of acne there, she asked her electrologist to remove some of the hairs and she stopped getting spots in those places.

It’s a shame you did not know about electrolysis while the hairs were still light as you could have avoided having to do any temporary removal.

I would recommend a small facial trimmer, like the kind used for eyebrows. Something like this:
