i really meant that ....i cut the pineapple slices into 4 pieces each and set it to look like flower petals with a cherry in the center....and pouring yellow jello (pineapple flavored) over it ...this way u can see the pineapple flowers thru that....
and i always screw up something as easy as rafhan custard...i just cook it to be tooooo thick....:(
I m just postin da pix s u asked :halo:
A classic trifle, with raspberries, almond cookies, and lemon whipped cream. Garnished with edible flowers.
There are six layers in this trifle, starting from the base: pears, cherry-filled sponge, cream, cherry-filled sponge, pears and finally custard.
But wht to do with custard ? I mean you cant layer the custard unless its chilled, but whn it gets cool you cant really use it because then custard is hard :S
Either don't make the custard too hard meaning reduce the quantity of custard powder you normally use or just get instant vanilla pudding from the grocery store.
umm u ever tried tiramisu? ....it's like the italian king of all the trifles in the world!
takes barely notime to make it, n the outcome is a heavenly winner each time :)
lol I hope you know damad means son in law and not bil lolz :D
Probably your custard is too thin in consistancy and that is why it comes over every thing. Make it a little thick.
LOL.. yeah it's damad... she wants my nephew to be her damad. :D (he is only 4)
hmm probably I need to make it thick.. will try that out!I like the idea for vanilla pudding too but again for that you have to chill it before serving.
Simplyseema: seee now taht's what I call a pretty trifle.. thanks for sharing.. mere thread ko char chand laga diyay.

Yes plz share recipe for tiramisu! :)
Here is how I make it, it turns out pretty good.
2 packs jello instant lemon pudding (Choose flavor you like)
1 loaf pound cake or home made lemon cake cut into small cubes.
juice of 1 lemon
can of whip cream like rheddi whip or cool whip
bananas, grapes, canned pineapple, kiwi...
Cherry/strawberry/orange flavored jello...basically any flavor you like.
1) First make the jello & put in fridge to set. Use a little less water than called for on box so it is a little firmer. Once set cut into cubes.
2) Make the pudding and set aside.
3) Add a little water to lemon juice & add sugar to taste (basically a concentrated lemonade u can say). Drizzle this lemon juice mixture over the cake, and mix gently...it gives cake moisture and a nice sweetish-tart flavor.
4) Slice the fruit, dice pineapple pieces
Now layer.
In a deep bowl, place a layer of the cake pieces, top with a layer of banana/grapes/strawberry/pineapple. Then layer with a thin layer of jello and top with pudding. Repeat the layer and end with pudding on the top. Basically now add whip cream and decorate with pretty cut fruit, like kiwi slices, strawberry slices, rasperries...anything.
first off omg at the pix!!! yummmmmmmmmm! 2ndly i cheat n put in instant vanilla pudding or make a ::fake:: custrad… this i do by mixing cram cheese ka eik packet, 1 can of sweetn condensed milk n 1 tub of whip cream (i got it off of paula dean in food network)… everyone LOVES it, and i dont have to cook a thing!
Ooh snm, that sound really yummy..the cream cheese, condensed milk & whipped cream…reminds me of this dessert called Ambrosia…just add in pineapple, walnuts and a bunch of mini marshmallows and u got another dessert…i think sourcream too…not sure
