I've made it using the seasoning packets you get at the grocery store. The recipe is on there, so you need ground beef and a few cands of kidney beans and diced tomatoes. SO in a slow cooker, you'd first brown the meat on the regular stove, then after that pour into the slow cooker, add the rest of teh stuff and cook on HI for 8 hours.

Can it be made without a slow cooker,that is in a regular pot over low flame on the stove...??

^I have make it without the slow cooker and it turned out fine.. I got the recipe from my texan co worker but I think I lost the card during the move.. it was YUMILICIOUS!!!

Haleem/khitchra is the best desi chilli you can have. Specially garnished with adrak , brown pyaz , hara dhania , chaat masala and lemon. :snooty:
