Trick of Math

I used my calculator and you are allowed too!

Take the number of the month you were born( e.g.If born in March, use 3),
multiply by 4,
add 13,
multiply by 25,
subtract 200,
add the day of the month on which you were born (e.g. If born on March 21 - use 21),
multiply by 2,
subtract 40,
multiply by 50,
add the last two digits of the year you were born (e.g. if born on 1992 - use 92,
subtract 10,500.

Notice anything funny about your answer?

It should be your Date of Birth (M/D/Y)

Frauddia.. you are one big trickster. I tried reversing the formula to calculate my Death Date, and it came out 9/21/89. Which means I died shortly after getting married. Are you sure about this?

Maybe there was an error in youir calculation or a rounding error, but you should have found it to be the same date as the wedding.

I tried again, it now comes to 6/12/87, over a year before my Wedding Date. May be now it is telling me my “date” date. I don’t know Yar.. why don’t you do it for me.

This is a simple Allusion trick like the kind I used to make at high school.I can explain it if anyone wants.

I think the trick here is: All those numbers except the birth-date comes up to a number which is then implanted over by the date of birth that each enters as his own!

To those who want to know there date of death(s)....
Choose the time of the year you would prefer to die in and I'll tell you how to figure out the year. ;) ;) ;)

There is an easier way to arrive at the same result, but there is a slight bug in it. Are there any Math whiz on this forum that can resolve the bug.

Follow this sequence:

10,000
x MM(month of birth)
+ 100
x DD(date of birth)
+ YY (year of birth)

The result should be your date of birth:
MM/DD/YY

The result is correct except for the first or MM (month of birth). Any suggestion to fix it?

This process is not any simpler than the one posted by AbdulMalick because it is exactly the same!!
I said earlier that the trick was a mere allusion and I had wrtitten an explanation but thoght it was too long and so I didn't post it.Luckily I had typed it in Msword and saved it.I am posting it now any way.Look at my example there(the one about 27 october)to find out your 'tiny' mistake and why your method doesn't work.

This is a simple trick.I used to make tricks like this at high school and amaze my friends.There were 4 simple stages to produce tricks.
1.Take a simple process.
2.Break it into unseemly steps.
3.Add Unnecessary steps.
4.Mingle necessary steps with unnecessary steps to surprise people.
Here goes...
1.All you need is 4 digits in front of the Month you were born in for the Date and Year to get the format Mm/Dd/Yy.Any number multiplied by ten thousand produces 4 zero's in front of it.
5*10000=50000
12*10000=120000 etc.
You need to have the Date figure before the Year figure so you need 2 zero's in front of
the Date figure so multiply by 100.
3*100=300
27*100=2700
Now just add the year figure as it is.
For 27th October 1970, Do this
(10*10000)+(27*100)+70=102770.Correct?

Breaking into steps depends upon the person producing the trick.In the above example the Month figure is introduced in step 1 and so it is affected by all following steps.It is multiplied by 4 then 25 then 2 and finally 50.
4*25*2*50=10000!!!
The Date figure is introduced later and so gets multiplied by 2 and 50 only.2*50=100!The year figure is added after all 'multiplications' as it should be.

NOW introduce what I at school used to call "the allussions".In the trick posted above this is the no.13 introduced in step 3.This has to be followed very closely and 'in sequence' to understand it's effect.13*25=325-200=125*2=250-40=210*50=10500.We have not yet reached the last step.The no.13 is the unnecessary addition to the simple process of stage 1.it has added an unwanted figure of 10500 to the process and must be taken away.This is what is happening in the last step and 10500 there is not a random figure.

By now you must already know how to do this stage.Much more complex tricks can be made easily
