Re: Tribute to Pakistani Drama Writers

Its imran aslam.......

Re: Tribute to Pakistani Drama Writers

re-checked titles. His name is Imran Saleem. I was also confused with the name. Imran Aslam is the new actor (the guy who is playing Anjileen Malik’s son in Kadoorat).

Re: Tribute to Pakistani Drama Writers

Mustansar Hussain TaraR wrote 4 serials (If I’m not missing anything)… Hazaron Raaste, Sooraj ke Sath Sath, Fareb and Shahpar. Probably, he also wrote one for NTM (Kelash). All were well received.

ok. Wiki says, he also wrote series ‘Ek Haqeeqat, ek afsana’ and ‘Parinda’ as well.

Mustansar Hussain Tarar - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

TaraR got good exposure to Pakistani culture and traditions. I remember, when I was reading his novel ‘Khas o Khashak Zamane’, I found in it many cultural traditions and discussed those in different threads of Culture forum. Here I remember, one scene from Drama Fareb. Its about how young people used to indicate to their parents that they want to get married.

Re: Tribute to Pakistani Drama Writers

imran aslam actor is different, yes the name appeared as imran saleem in rozi and khaleej but now i have read his name as imran aslam, even i saw a program of moin akhtar's tribute and he called himself imran aslam, i wrote rozi inspired from tootsie etc etc. Sahira kazmi also says imran aslam. I think he is the same person who is president of geo tv network and close friend of freiha altaf..

Re: Tribute to Pakistani Drama Writers

strange that he was writing with different names and didn't object to wrong name in titles of serials which telecasted for several weeks. Anyway, he is a good writer and yes Rozi was adapted as says the titles without mentioning that it was adapted from tootsie.

Re: Tribute to Pakistani Drama Writers

No one mentioned Munnu Bhai yet. name behind the succesful serials like Sona Chandi and Dasht.

Re: Tribute to Pakistani Drama Writers

^Ababeel was another serial of his. BTW what's his real name?

Re: Tribute to Pakistani Drama Writers

Don’t know his real name (like don’t know real name of Munni Begum) :stuck_out_tongue:
