Re: Tribute to Pakistani Drama Directors

^^ wrote sahira kazmi's name as saira so have corrected it....

Re: Tribute to Pakistani Drama Directors

also rashid dar for sona chaandi, haider imam rizvi for chaand girhan, hawaien, ba adab ba mulahiza hoshiyar....

Re: Tribute to Pakistani Drama Directors

Mohsin Ali got various classics besides Unkahi on his credit. He was famous for producing historical plays like Tabeer, Shaheen and in his last days 'Jinah se Quaid'. Besides that he produced Haseena Moin's Zer Zabar Pesh, Kasak as well. He also produced Moin Akhtar's Studio Pone Teen and Half Plate.

Re: Tribute to Pakistani Drama Directors

Chand Girhan was directed by Hyder Imam Rizvi but on titles they said it was directed by Tajidar Adil.

Re: Tribute to Pakistani Drama Directors

Rashid Dar directed Andhera Ujala, Fareb, Hazaron Rasten, Sooraj ke Sath Sath, Patt JhaR, Khwahish as well.

Darya was directed by Muhammad Azeem, who also directed Neele Hath and Zameen (probably PaRao as well).

Re: Tribute to Pakistani Drama Directors

yes on titles its tajdar adil, i was also confused on this but saw haider imam rizvi's interview many years ago and he mentioned chaand girhan among his directorial work.....

Re: Tribute to Pakistani Drama Directors

It was PTV’s policy then they allowed their directors to direct plays for NTM on the condition that they have to surrender half of their PTV salary. So you can see many NTM projects directed by such people (strange names sheen, etc) who never produced anything once NTM gone. :hehe:

:hmmm:

Re: Tribute to Pakistani Drama Directors

u sure for darya's director?? As for rashid dar andhera ujala is nodoubt a master piece, but fareb, suraj ke saath saath pat jhar, khwahish are mediocre work, no comments for hazaron raaste :D

Re: Tribute to Pakistani Drama Directors

yes. I’m sure about Darya.

Re: Tribute to Pakistani Drama Directors

yes parao was directed by muhammaz azeem, didn't saw this drama but rememeber an interview of arifa siddiqui, she mentioned the name as host was asking about her lion riding experience in that drama....

Re: Tribute to Pakistani Drama Directors

Who was the director of ptv drama saahil, it was also a good work, i think few initial episodes were directed by sahira kazmi, then by yawar hayat.

Re: Tribute to Pakistani Drama Directors

you are right. initial episodes by Sahira Kazmi and then by Yawar Hayyat. Same was the situation with serial ‘Nasheman’. It was also directed by Sahira Kazmi and Yawar Hayaat. Yawar Hayat has Jhok Sayal , Jheel, Wadi, Dahleez, Lazawaal, Samandar

Re: Tribute to Pakistani Drama Directors

These mediocre works were much much better than today’s most talked projects :hehe:

Another classic by Rashid Dar is ‘Man chale ka sauda’ a very difficult script but well executed.

Re: Tribute to Pakistani Drama Directors

offcourse, actually mediocre as compare to other works of that time, today’s work don’t exist in my list and have stopped watching them…

Mann chale ka sauda :k:

Re: Tribute to Pakistani Drama Directors

Yawar Hayaat also directed Ashfaq Ahmed's Qila Kahani introducing 'Uzma Gilani'.
